Victoria Brockmeier's first book of poems, my maiden cowboy names, won the 2008 T. S. Eliot Prize and was published by Truman State University Press. Her work has appeared in journals including LIT, New Letters, Pleiades, The Boston Review, and Chelsea, and she's currently completing a dissertation on twentieth-century poetry and poetics called Apostate, Sing This World Forth: Avant-Mythopoetic Encounters With Doubt, Chaos, and Community at the University at Buffalo. She is also founder and coordinator of dove|tail poetry, a readings and chapbooks series.
