December: The PERFECT TIME to job search. Are you like everyone else out there, sure that December is the wrong time to look for a job? Well, I’m happy to tell you that you’re WRONG. December is a GREAT time to job hunt. Why? Well, to begin with, so many people believe it’s the wrong time, there are far fewer candidates to compete with. After all, jobs become available for a wide variety of reasons, and you don’t want to miss a great opportunity, just because you’re home, waiting for January. Another important thing to remember is that temporary positions are becoming easier and easier to find, and being employed makes you MUCH MORE EMPLOYABLE. It also keeps your skills honed and gives you every-day networking opportunities that you simply would not have otherwise. Finally, an income in December is very important to a candidate’s spirits and confidence. Join us to ask questions at the Q&A portion near the end of the call, or send them to cp@palmierecareerservices.com. Job Mentor, Catherine Palmiere is an Interview Coach and has worked with thousands of applicants and hundreds of corporations in and around NYC.
