Thank you for the friendship. I have two shows coming up with military men who have written books. This is so cool. I just love our hero's. Thanks for keep us safe. Lesa

UPCOMING EPISODE: 24 May 2008 Words from JMK Radio Supplement

Week one of the new BTR supplement for my blog went pretty well. It was my very first show with BTR and as such I had no listeners, but that was kind of what I was hoping for. I wanted a chance to iron out the kinks, if there were any, so that I could then focus on picking a better day and time for the show and possibly even expanding from 15 minutes to 30.

Eventually I'd like to be able to do a two hour show every week and include some open ended discussion about current events with callers and special guests. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, eh? I've placed a BTR player on my blog and for the time being it really serves as an audio supplement to the blog. I really like the idea of the synergy between my written and spoken content. Plus, readers will know right away that they can take an active part in the discussion of topics that I have written about rather than having to just take my writing "as is."

I'm looking forward to developing new friends here at BTR. So far this has not been a problem. Everyone here seems to be friendly and actively engaged in the community. This is something I've been looking for in a "social networking site," although I see BTR as being much more than that.

Okay, this post is getting long enough! Man I can be long winded! This trait is perfect for talk radio though, no?

Aloha and Welcome! (Introduction, Weekly Roundup, Headlines, OpEd)

    Aloha and Welcome!

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by. You may have seen me listening to your show recently, commenting on a previous show, or any number of other things that could have landed you here. I appreciate your curiosity and hope that you come to enjoy your new discovery here.

The deal behind my show is pretty much that it is intended to be a supplement to my blog, Words From Justin M. Kolenc. I will start out with short episodes (15 min.) and will use that time mostly as a weekly roundup for the content that I've posted to my blog for that particular week. There will also be a review of and OpEd regarding the week's major headlines.

Callers are encouraged to participate, though due to the short nature of the show I'm really not expecting a whole lot of call-ins. At this point my readership is just not large enough for this to be a realistic expectation. But then, that's exactly why I'm moving into this project here at BTR, because the community seems to be alive and thriving. I hope to be a part of that community very soon.

    Thanks again!

    JMK
