Julie Clark is an aerobatic pilot and the author of “Nothing Stood In Her Way”. She overcame terrible personal tragedy, and was one of the first female pilots to work for a major airline.
Julie has 40 years of flight experience and 30,000 accident-free hours to her name and flies an average of 20 air shows a year. She has earned the admiration of fans everywhere, and was recently inducted into the Women in Aviation Pioneer Hall of Fame!
Nichelle Nichols is the original Powerful Woman of the New Millennium (and of course the original Lt. Uhura on Star Trek!)
Nichelle has said that Dr. Martin Luther King personally encouraged her to stay with Star Trek, telling her that he was a big fan of the series. He said she "could not give up" because she was playing a vital role model for black children and young women across the country. She continues to be an inspiration!
