It’s an interesting question...Whose truth are you living?
Take a moment and think about your life. Are you doing what you want to do, what others believe you’re “supposed” to or what God has destined for you?
Are you honest with people when they ask your opinion? Or do you give them answers that won’t hurt their feelings? Do you walk in honesty? Do you always speak your truth? You can be honest and loving in a manner that lets a person know that you’re not trying to be hurtful. When you want an opinion about something in your life, do you ask the person who will be honest with you or the one who’s going to tell you what you want to hear? Are you truthful with yourself about yourself? In order to get to your truth, is there anything that you need to let go of, release or change about who you are?
For example, do you absolutely love your job? Are you excited to get up and going in the morning? Or is it a chore to get to your desk or start on the first task of the day? If it is, have you asked yourself you haven’t figured out what excites you? What drives you? If you’re not doing what excites you, what’s keeping you from it? Is it a fear that you won’t make enough money? Does doing what excites you seem to involve too much compromise? Within each of us is the power to change our lives in an instant. We can create the life we want.
Yes, it’s possible to have success without living your truth. But do you want success as you’ve defined it or based on what Spirit has in store for you?
We can make the choice to walk on a wonderful, exciting, insightful spiritual path. It’s always important to check ourselves—to monitor whether we’re being truthful in our walk by expressing love and harmony in all that we do. This means from the mundane daily tasks to the big stuff of life. Does your home contain things you absolutely love? Are we patient in traffic or do we get pissed off? Can we rise above frustration when it comes? Are we kind to the check out person at the grocery store? How do we treat servers in restaurants? Do we say hello and have a smile for our neighbors? Can we give up always needing to be right? When God puts an opportunity to learn in front of us, do we get it—or are we resistant? The questions could go on and on. Ask the questions and challenge yourself to get better and better in every new moment.
