Sunday’s Jets loss to the Titans in Nashville was defined once again by the failures of their quarterback. This time it was Geno Smith and not Mark Sanchez, but the result was still the same – a bad loss for the Jets by a score of 38-13.
The Titans capitalized on Smith’s four turnovers and turned them all into touchdowns, which is one less than Sanchez’s effort last December, but still this was an embarrassing loss for the Jets coming off a win over division rival Buffalo while searching for optimism and credibility in this young season. Instead it was failure from the beginning to end for the Jets. Geno Smith now has 11 turnovers on the season which ties him with Eli Manning of the NY Giants. Given the choices behind Smith and a “statute of limitations” on being a rookie, the bleeding may continue for a while longer without a viable option that’s available on the roster. This will certainly test the will of the Jets Faithful.
