Paul says in 1 Cor.14:34 that women are to remain silent 34 Women[a] should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.

As a result many church folk, including some minsters, have misinterpreted this as women should not be visible when it comes to any form of the ministry.  While this stance has caused great controversy, the pews, mission fields, and lay programs paint a different story.  Women outnumber men in attendance in churches world-wide, and women in the ministry as pastors and other church leaders have reached an all-time high despite adversity and road blocks. What compels women to push forward despite opposing views on this controversial issue?
