His story reads like a fairytale: He was visiting his father, an actor, in California during Christmas vacation when he was discovered by a top children’s agent.
By the age of 10, Shavar Ross was featured in one of the highest-rated TV shows, Diff'rent Strokes, as the best friend of Arnold (played by Gary Coleman). By 12, he was a voiceover talent for Hanna-Barbera. He followed this up with another recurring role on the hit TV series Family Matters as “Weasel.”
He has also been seen in other top-rated series such as Chicago Hope; Benson; The White Shadow; Fresh Prince of Bel-Air; Magnum, PI; MacGyver; Beauty and the Beast; Designing Women; Amen; Growing Pains; and played Tina Turner’s son in the biopic sensation What’s Love Got to Do With It?
Today, Shavar Ross has well over 100 film and episodic television projects under his belt, and is a film director who has an established film and television production company of his own, Tri-Seven Entertainment.
Join us on WED, Nov 16th at 7pm EST when we hear first-hand how this child actor became a man while basking in the spotlight – yet unscathed. His story is an inspirational one that should NOT be missed.
