They call him the king of documentary composers. Jonathan Zalben is the man behind HBO's highest rated documentary over the last five years (There's Something Wrong with Aunt Diane). Zalben’s company, First Frame Music, also is heard is many other films, such as The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, City of Borders, Make Me Young: Youth Knows No Pain and The Perfect Life among others.

 

Zalben's music for film, theater, and television has been shown at Sundance, Slamdance, SXSW, Tribeca, Berlin, LA Film Festival, New York International Fringe Festival, and Chicago SketchFest. His orchestral works have been performed by the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra and the New York University Orchestra.
