You heard his own interview from June 14th. Now hear the perspective of the cast of Layon Gray's brand new stage production "All-American Girls: A Negro League of Their Own" on Monday, July 18th at 7pm EST.

Based in 1945 Chicago, All-American Girls is the story of a group of African American women assembled to play an exhibition game against the White reigning champions. Lead by their hard-nosed coach who played in the Negro Leagues with the men, racism, sexism, deceit, and betrayal are brought to light as this powerful drama unveils the hidden story beneath the surface.

The play won a 2006 NAACP Award, wowed NYC audiences in 2010 and is headed back to NYC in August for two perfornances only. It is also now in developments to become a major motion picture. ON AIR will be Alaina Dunn; Noelle Lusane and Celestine Ray.
