I was listening to the radio and the host mentioned he had a kumquat martini, so you know I had to look it up. I found a lot of recipes for this martini but the one below was the most interesting. You have to wait two months to drink it but I bet it's worth it. INGREDIENTS:
two pints of kumquats orange flavored vodka orange juice cranberry juice sweet & sour mix citrus flavored gin mint leaf ice
DIRECTIONS:
Two parts of the vodka flavored kumquat juice from the jug, one part orange juice, one part cranberry juice, two parts of sweet & sour mix, and one part of citrus flavored gin.
Pour into martini shaker over ice and pour into martini glass and garnish with a slice of kumquat and a mint leaf. Wow!!!

This was one of my favorite martinis at the Martin Bar inside the Texas Station Hotel and Casino. They made the best martinis in North Las Vegas and off the Strip. Enjoy! 2oz vodka, I like to use a vanilla vodka.
Shake the vodka and creme de cacao up together and strain into a martini glass. Then layer the Godiva chocolate liqueur. If you gently pour the 1/2oz of Godiva on the inside of the martini glass, it will automatically sink to the bottom giving you a cool layered effect. It's like having a Hershey's Kiss on the bottom of your martini. This recipe is from www.make-martinis-at-home.com
