Corny Pick-Up Lines and Booty Calls

Ladies, imagine yourself out at a club with your girls when, from the other side of the room, you lock eyes with the most gorgeous man you’ve ever seen in your life, looking like he just stepped out of GQ magazine.  As he smiles with teeth gleaming as bright as a Hollywood Klieg light and makes his way through the crowd with his “smooth as Denzel” swagger, once you’re gazing deeply into his sultry brown eyes, in his Billy Dee voice he says, ‘I didn’t know angels flew so low.”  As you can almost seem to hear your girls’ eyes rolling like dice across a concrete floor, eagerly anticipating your reply, you offer an anemic smile and all you can say is, ‘Damn, what a corny pick-up line.’

Join Jay King and Robert Redwine, on “The Way I See It,” when they will be discussing “Corny Pick-Up Lines and Booty Calls” on www.blogtalkradio.com/Jay-King.  If you would like to be a part of their discussion, please call our live switchboard at 347-205-9366 and share your point-of-view.

Why Are Some Parents Afraid of Their Children?

A frank discussion between host Jay King, co-host Robert Redwine, and their listeners about love and relationships.

  • Date / Time:

Why Are Some Parents Afraid of Their Children?

Are you a parent, toiling every day to provide a good home and life for your children, and the only thanks they give you are rolling eyes, a “talk with the hand” gesture, an all-up-in-your-face boldness, and a foul mouth that gives you reason to cringe and run off to cry in solitude?  If so, there comes a time when you must “parent-up” and put your best foot forward by squarely placing it in the center of their back pocket… if you get the drift.  Yes, the law in most states says that a form of such discipline is a “no-no.”  However, as a natural guardian, it would seem that your parental logic should dictate that it is better to spend a day or two in the slammer, than to have the police or someone else eventually whipping the living daylights out of your kid(s) or, maybe, even killing them.

Let’s face it, some of today’s kids, from toddlers to teens, are stark raving mad and totally out of control.  Without creating empathy on the side of Mom and/or Dad, it’s time to place the burden of blame solely at their feet for their failed parenting skills and for forgetting who’s supposed to be in charge.

Not too long ago, a friend related a story to me about her cousin who had retired for the night, only to wake up in a wee hour of the morning to find her four-year-old son standing, straddled over her with a butcher knife in his hand, saying “I gonna kill you.”  The first visualization that came to mind was how a little Fantasy Football, of his miniature behind being punt-kicked into the next county, would have made for such a great Kodak moment.   Instead, the mother elected to talk the child down from the bed, took him to his room, sat by his bed watching him sleep peacefully through the night, and the following day, had a double-bolt lock installed on her door.

Perhaps, the problems with your children are not this extreme, however, if you are a parent who happens to be at your wit’s end because your kids are giving you that much grief, tomorrow’s show on The Way I See It is one you will not want to miss.  To join JAY KING and ROBERT REDWINE on this hot topic, go to: www.blogtalkradio.com/Jay-King.  You may also feel free to join us in the chat room and you can call during our live broadcast at: 347-205-9366 to give your point-of-view.

A frank discussion between host Jay King, co-host Robert Redwine, and their listeners about love and relationships. Today's Topic: Religion and Gangbanging

  • Date / Time:

    Religion And Gangbanging

    RELIGION AND GANGBANGING

If you were to ask, throughout the world, what people consider the most important and popular book of all time, undoubtedly, most would say it is the Bible.  Without question, this awesome work of God’s laws, written by prophets who meticulously and thoroughly laid down guidelines of how God has commanded us to live, also cautioned of how we were NOT to live, and the penalties that would be exacted for ignoring the word of God.

Laced throughout the 1189 chapters, that comprise the Bible, there are examples upon examples citing immorality and violence that have plagued people “from the beginning of time” and have foretold of how that same behavior would further reveal itself in a future society insistent upon living by its own rules and regulations.  As numerous religions have come into being, in every sector of society throughout the world, along with their creations have come philosophical differences and beliefs, confusing misinterpretations of God’s law, and violence that leaves us all collectively gasping in disbelief.

That violence is at the hands of Protestants and Catholics in Ireland, who have been killing one another for decades.  It is Islamic rebels terrorizing people, in the name of Allah, in the middle east, Africa and the West, just as it is Crips and Bloods, loyal to their sects of “red” and “blue,” shedding blood in the streets of Los Angeles while, at the same time, laying claim to their prison-taught beliefs in the Bible or Quran.  It is terrorism totally out of control and religion with so many faces that it is impossible to know who’s who.

On Sunday, May 17, JAY KING and ROBERT REDWINE of “The Way I See It” will be discussing “Religion and Gangbanging.”  To hear their spin on this topic, be sure to tune in to www.blogtalkradio.com/Jay-King.  We also welcome you to call us on our “live” switchboard at 347-205-9366 to give us your point of view.
