    I will have a basic overview, but hopefully people will call in with some ideas of how we can bless those most important to us, and those we run across in our daily lives. Big ideas and small ideas are welcome. Some are "big" minded, some do small things with great love. Also, we will look at the question: "Moving from receiving to a life of giving?" How we make the heart change? The root of self-undulgence, etc... apathy... etc.

    Easier said than done....

    I was watching a video that talked about some letters Mother Teresa wrote that seemed to question the presence of God, if not the existence of Him.  It struck my curiosity in light of the life she lived, and the many quotes she is known for having said.  There were comments posted about this video, and some of them dealt rather harshly with the fact that she seemed to not believe in God at times in her life, etc...

    I watched another video that had music and quotes from her, and that is on the link to the right.  Well, anyways, I cried momentarily for the truth that I probably have not lived one week as compassionately and self-sacrificingly as she did most of her life.    

    It's easy to point and say "hypocrite" because her public words seemed so much more faith-filled than her private words.  It's easy to find stories that expose imperfection interesting.  It's easy to say, "see," in our search for some point that nobody's perfect, or what have you...

    What's not easy is the doing.  To do as much good as someone like Mother Teresa is something most of us, myself included, will not do.  Maybe that's why so many comfort themselves with knowing she was not perfect...  I choose to see the goodness that was on the Earth when she lived, and maybe aspire a little bit...

    And that is easier said than done!

    You Might Just Be Important, and You Might Have to Live Like It

    In this series, I will discuss God's intelligent design as to the big picture of our lives, and the reality of the purposes we fulfill each day. This time, I want to hit on something a little bit different: If we recognize and own our importance in the lives of others, we must heed the call of selflessness and sacrifice. Maybe feeling unimportant, and saying we can't change things, and having a false sense of humility is the easy way out, a way to keep receiving and living for ourselves, rather than giving and fully loving. Maybe what we fear is selflessness, not failure. As long as you say, "what will be will be," you are exactly right!
