For the last third of a century, we've been living with Reaganomics (aka supply side economics, trickle down economics, or, according to his then vice president "voodoo economics"), and the American economy hasn't been the same since. Manufacturing in America is on the decline, and despite the fact that the American worker has been producing the most that they've ever produced, wages have been pretty much stagnant despite the constant increase in the cost of living.
Now the GOP wants to demonize the unemployed by pushing their regressive unemployment benefits policies that have been a disaster in North Carolina nationwide. Just because the number of unemployed have dropped doesn't mean they've actually found work, as job creation numbers haven't improved much.
With the middle class shrinking and income inequality increasing, it's time for people to stand up for their futures and fight back against those who want to keep wages down.
