Join Kingston City Historian Edwin Ford and biographer John Kaminski for a special edition highlighting the festivities for the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the death of first New York Governor and Ulster County's favorite son George Clinton in 1812. The two will talk about the importance of Clinton in the founding of the United States and New York state and the divisive politics in the formation of the country that impacted all our ancestors here, as well as the festivities that are scheduled in Uptown Kingston for Friday, April 20th. Ford will tell how Clinton came to rest in the Old Dutch Church Cemetery amid controversy in 1908.

John Kaminski wrote the George Clinton biography, Clinton, Yeoman Politician of the New Republic in 1993. He is the Director for the Study of the American Constitution and is a faculty member in the history department at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
