After our devastating loss in Maine, and all other LGBT issues moving at a snail's pace, it's time to sound off and let our anger and frustrations OUT so we can collective forge ahead and gain the equality we deserve without our voices fall upon deaf ears because we're not finished yelling. Let your anger out and put your frustrations behind you so we can dig down, and get to work, together to insure that we can end our long overdue tenure as second-class citizens! What's your agenda? These are trying times to say the least. The political arena is filled with hate, intolerance, discrimination and oppression towards the LGBT community. The financial world around us is as unstable as it ever has been, and as there should be, there's a real tone of somberness when it comes to struggling for equality. It's so easy to get caught up in all the negativity that abounds and let ourselves become consumed with the seriousness of the issues surrounding us that we sometimes forget to do one of the simplest, most important things we can do for ourselves mentally and physically...and no, I'm not talking about sex (even though I'm sure that doesn't hurt). CAPOTORTO was born and raised in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx, New York. He received an M.F.A. in playwriting from Columbia University School of the Arts in 1984 and has been a playwright, screenwriter, and actor for more than twenty years. He made his acting debut in the cult classic Five Corners; performed principal roles in American Blue Note, Men of Respect, Spike Lee's Jungle Fever, and John Turturro's Mac; and played Little Paulie on The Sopranos for six seasons. His plays have been produced at the National Playwrights Conference of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Yale Repertory Theater, and in dozens of other venues in New York City and around the country. Twisted Head, his darkly comic memoir about growing up in the Bronx in the 1960s and 70s.
