    Date / Time:

    Freaky Friday

What's up Peoples?!  Hope everyone is enjoying the throws of summer weather while awaiting the day give Dad's all-around this bubble props.
A bizarre edition of the Jak Brown Show last night, who knew things could get crazy in Belmont - a dry town in the suburbs of Boston..who knew?
Upon further review looks like I'll have to brush up on my audio skills, the show sounds kind of crappy.  Time to get some mics and step up the technical quality of the show.

A little recap of the Friday the 13th edition of The Jak Brown Show...

My main man Frillz (aka Jon Bouvie Kennedy Onasis) stepped in as co-host & dj.  The beats were hard to hear but we opened with "Tom Sayer" by Rush, then got into some Eric B & Rakim, played a lot of Karl Denson, did a reggae sting and closed out with The Meters and it was really funky.  Heavy C's/Lakers talk.  I think the Lakers have blown the entire series, Frillz thinks the Celtics have won it.  We both think the 2008 NBA season will come to an end Sunday night in LA LA Land.  I'm into Dyan Cannon, Frillz thinks she's was past her prime.  We talked replay in baseball, broke the news about Marcus Vick's latest arrest, talked Tiger & the U.S. Open and sprinkled the show with Darth Vader quotes and Frillz not only busted out a cow key chain for sound effects but also Roosevelt Franklin of Sesame Street Fame made an off-mic appearance in studio.  That's when things reach the peak of zaniness...just what we were looking for.

Looks like we're starting to get a few listeners so we'll definitely be stepping up the quality of the show.  Look for the next show early in the week.  Monday if the C's win it Sunday night, Tuesday if they don't.

As a long time news, broadcasting junkie and someone who has worked in the business(ABC News) I, as was Frillz, was very saddened to learn about the passing of Tim Russert.  He was a good guy, a great broadcaster and a legend in the business.  If I can be a quarter of the interview he was I'll have to call that a huge victory in life.

    R.I.P. Tim, you'll be missed.

Have a great weekend Y'All.  Happy Father's Day.  Be good, don't do anything stupid.

    - Chris Timoney, host of The Jak Brown Show
