This IS FOR MY FATHER................. My father was a hardworking Blue Collar worker that taught me honesty is always the best choice. He worked most his life as a welder using his skills to make others wealthy, but his profession was not the sum of his life. His beautiful works of art and amazing photography taught me that you are not defined by your 9 to 5 job, and so much more. The sad truth is I did not get to spend much time with him in my younger years. My mother and father divorced when I was but 11 months old. The visits were few and far between and a small child does not always know what or who to believe. My father was more like a photograph than a real person to me then. My father was honest, hard working and compassionate and I feel blessed to have had him in my life. It is unfortunate that so much time was wasted over the "HURT" I held onto for so many years. Later in life he taught me that Men do not have a choice in choosing a stepfather to step in when he is unable to be there. In his last years he taught me that people with cancer have choices about how they deal with this terrible disease. My father fought back with grace and the belief that he would conquer the scourge of the cells that sought to devour his once healthy body. He lived two years after they told him he only had 6 months to live. Now if your DAD or MOM is still around then hug them and say I LOVE YOU. You see mine are both gone as well as all of my grandparents. Love and cherish all of your loved ones while they are still here to enjoy your loving hugs.
