What is forgiveness?

According to the online dictionary, forgiveness is defined as follows:

• The action or process of forgiving or being forgiven.
• To excuse for a fault or an offense; pardon.
•  To renounce anger or resentment against.

For most of us, forgiving someone is not easy to do. In fact, for the most part believers of God do it out of obedience to God, especially if we want forgiveness from Jesus Christ.

Jesus Commanded us to forgive each other in the following manner:

Ephesians 4:32 ESV (English  Standard Version) Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
