We conservatives are in a war for the soul of America!

I want to introduced myself to each and every one of you who believe in conservative ideals and would love this nation to go back to how it was before the 60s era polluted this culture with its cancer of leftist socialistic communism. Which I feel is their ultimate goal.  I do believe, that our fellow leftist Americans, who have become legalize extortionist  are ultimately after as much of our hard earn money as they can get their hands on.

I grew up in a Boston Democratic Roman Catholic Sicilian/Irish home that was conservative.  We were then what became known as Reagan Democrats. It was during the Reagan years, the greatest President of my lifetime that as an unknown and inexperience filmmaker I was able to raise the funding to produce three independent low budget American Film Market level of films that primary went straight to video.  In the mid 80s to mid 90s the video boom was at its height.  My first film was produced under my own production company, Spartanfilm, Ltd. and it was sold at the 1985 AFM and made lots of money for the four distributors, which by the way, is like dealing with a Democratic congress. They felt all my profits belong to them.  I manage to recoup 180% return to my investors and go on to the next project.

I have made two films that I own outright and one film I was a producer for hire.  I took my name off that film because the owners and distributors wanted to put a nude scene in the opening of the film and flavor up the film with F-words.  The films that I own, I refuse to put that type of stuff in my pictures.  It is a matter of taste for me, and I refuse to be the tail on the end of the Hollywood dog making the same old same old.

I produced and directed an indie film called FORGOTTEN HEROES in 1988. I was 35 at the time and I had never been to film school or took a directing class.  I just lived in movie theaters as a kid and I just love the process of making films that inspire and move people in a positive way.  I refuse to make films that insult, abused, put down our country and mock God.  I made this Vietnam action war drama to honor all of our Vietnam Veterans out there and the DOD stats of 1990 stated that 8.3 million Americans are considered Vietnam era Veterans.

FORGOTTEN HEROES is the only film since John Wayne's Green Beret that shows the fighting warrior in a positive and heroic light.  FORGOTTEN HEROES is the only Vietnam film ever made with NO F-words in it, so everyone of all ages can watch an old fashion war movie and come away feeling proud of a generation of Americans who were spit on by the leftist anti-war crowd.

As you all know, the Vietnam War ended 1972 and Hollywood rush to make films to prove their point that the anti-war protesters were right to stop the war.  Hollywood which is run by far left-wingers, green lighted film after film showing just how bad our troops were murdering the innocent and peace loving Vietcong and NVRA.  In 1985, Oliver Stone the man who loves to hate America but loves our Federal Reserve Notes made a film called Platoon. I felt this film was a slap in the face to anyone who ever worn the uniform of the United States Military.  For me that was the final straw and I went out and had my idea about FORGOTTEN HEROES written into a screenplay.  I wanted to make one of those old WWII black and white war films we all saw as kids in theaters and on TV.  FORGOTTEN HEROES is "Objective Burma/A Walk In The Sun meets Kelly's Heroes” three of my favorite films.

FORGOTTEN HEROES is a low budget independent film with all first time actors and one veteran character actor William Smith who plays a Russian General in the Vietnam War who defects for freedom.  These young Americans Marines go into Cambodia to bring out this Russian General to the American lines.  Russian troops are sent in and the film becomes a cat and mouse game before the ending is revealed.  I show our guys they way you would see Americans in those old Black and White films.  It took me two years to complete this film and by 1990 I started to take it to all the major studios, mini-majors and independent distributors.  I had over 350 screenings in two years. I was turned down because of the politics of the film and eventually all negotiations would fall apart because none of the distributors would pay advances for films upfront.  I ended up giving the film to a US foreign rep to sell overseas and he sold four countries and when money was owed me he breached my contract and I had to sue him.  This cost me three years and in the end, even though I won, the word gets out in Hollywood that you don't sue a distributor an work again.

Today, my pro Veteran film is being sold off my website at www.forgottenheroesthemovie.com. I even got a copy of my DVD to the Oval Office and President Bush wrote me back a nice letter which I have posted for all conservatives to read.

The reason I am writing all this is because I have been involved in a few conservative groups out there and on a couple of blogtalkradio shows and the word must  get out there, that in Hollywood none of us can get work.  I hear all the time, over the past ten years; we don't have any conservative filmmakers out there and no conservative films?  When was the last time you saw an unknown make it to the big time who was a President Bush, conservative christian?  Hollywood denies that fact there there isn't a blacklist, but the facts speak for themselves.  Where are the conservatives making films, writing films, acting in films.  Conservatives that work will keep their political ideals to themselves for they will be fired.

Since I have never worked in the Hollywood establishment nor  have never been paid or funded by the Hollywood left.  It is just me and my partner  trying to get the only war film that honors our Vietnam guys and all troops for that matter for the past 20 years.

I was even the first filmmaker to contact the only two conservative film festivals and they both turned me down.  Their reason was that the film was two old.  To old for whom?  The first time anyone sees it, it's a NEW film and the main thing is, it is the only conservative film in 35mm made by a filmmaker, who isn't afraid to let this leftist town and the rest of the country know, that I am damn proud to make conservative films, that promote the values of this great Country.

Most of us Americans, love to honor and salute all of our brave young men and women who go into battle to become bullet catchers so other ingrates can complain, protest and hold our warriors in total contempt.  For this, my film was blackballed in this town of tolerance.

However, I love the challenge and I have been making sales off my web site.  The wonderful thing that has come out of this is that Vietnam Veterans who have bought the DVD have written to me in e-mails and their letters are so warm and full of pride. They thank me for making this film and honoring their service in cinema.  These letters erase the long years, I have been dealing with rejection on both sides of the debate.

I am making this plea to all conservatives out there under this big tent. I am talking to all conservative talk show hosts whom I listen to and have been for over 20 years since Rush took over the world of radio.  If you want to see more conservative pro American films made by guys like me, you all need to  buy FORGOTTEN HEROES, so I will be able to rise the funding to produce and DISTRIBUTE my own films back to you for your enjoyment.

We can't wait for establish film stars like Mel Gibson to make film after film after film to promote and fight the leftist propaganda machine.  There are no incentives for guys like him to do this. He has his success he doesn't need to be beaten up again.  Where I am ready to make films the way Hollywood use to make them. Lets get back some of the pride we all had for each other and our country.

We are at WAR with the left in the pop culture, I know, I am here, in the trenches and no one knows who I am or what I did.  Without your support we will not win in the arena of ideas on film, to teach a whole generation of new young kids that America is a great nation.

Michael Medved once said on his radio show, "that Hollywood once made films that made Americans and the world fall in love with America. Today, Hollywood makes films that convinces Americans and the world to hate America."  I want to change all this and FORGOTTEN HEROES was the first film down the pipeline to do this. Then they step on me as if I as a bug.  I am a survivor and the truth of what I shot and did will come out because the truth always surfaces and wins in the end.

FORGOTTEN HEROES isn't your 80 million dollar blockbuster action packed CGI special FX made by Lucas.  My film is a small low budget with a powerful story and a heartfelt tribute.    What it is, it is the ONLY conservative 35mm out there that can be put into theaters and sold all over the United States to every Vietnam Veteran's home.  I can't fight this cultural war alone; I need your help in supporting my film, so I can establish myself as the Oliver Stone on the conservative side. Let us have all the fun for a change and allow me to make films that  upset the left so much they lose what is left of their minds.

I have been waiting 20 plus years to take all the outrage attacks from liberals, so I can promote our ideals up there on the big screen. In time others will follow and we can take back this culture and country and end this cancer that came out of the mud in Woodstock in 1969.

I will always remain your obedient warrior filmmaker and I will never give up until I sell one million DVDs to conservatives all over this great nation.  I need  your support and word of mouth.

If Obama can do it, we can do it.  Join me and my partner John Lebert and lets take back our culture which we all felt a pride in

Thank you all for your time and consideration

Warmest regards,
