I spent my birthday in a shamanic experience of Fire Walk and of being in the dark, as though returned to the womb; like being enclosed in a kiva for a week.  Pain from an abcessed tooth was intense and fever and upper respiratory issues joined the mix.  Basically, I drank water...whatever food I had could fill a small plate.  There was no energy to prepare it, and no way I could eat it.  Such intensity leads to contemplation...to seeing oneself in new light; and even through the darkness to see one's own shadow.  I'm grateful for that time.  I'm grateful that it's over, though if the lessons are not practiced, I will be tested again.  I make effort to remember the lessons I learned, and process thoughts of coulda woulda shoulda into seeing the glorious miracle of coming out the other side of a strong test given. I will work the lessons! I practiced Reiki for them through that bitter cold winter, and was present for the sad passing and interment of Elvis, The Cowboy's Friend.  I will always remember how several of the horses joined our funeral procession ... and how one white horse stood looking at me, as the sole attendee as I gave Prayer and Service in Elvis' name.  That afternoon, the Sun illuminated his stall!!  I had never seen that before in my time there...I believe it was Elvis' shining Spirit blessing all who remained behind. It becomes blatently apparent to me that as we depend on that which is outside ourselves, Doctors, Hospitals, Supermarkets, etc...we are relinquishing our Autonomy!!  We are DEpendent instead of INdependent.  And so I advocate and practice Wholism and am healthy, happier and happier... Today, February 24, I will go further into the benefits of Chiropractic.  I will tell you more about how the free flow or restriction of our nerves affects the health of every organ, energy levels, our sight, hearing, (YES...before buying that expensive hearing aide, try Chiropractic!)  digestion, elimination, (people are told to take this or that medication or 'fibre drink'...get your spine straight first, and see what happens!!) My first experience with Chiropractic was a year of suffering!!  I was carried in, unable to stand straight or at all...I went home still bent over but in slightly less pain...every week I went back, and the time between would gain relief...only to have the pain exacerbated each time I was worked on...by the end of the week I'd begin to feel better, then the adjustment would mess me up again. Many people have such a story.  Keep looking!  Chiropractic is a huge gift to humanity!  I have three wonderful Chiropractors at this point.  Robert Borzone,D.C., in Syosset, NY, who has helped me through some hard times...for about 30 years now!  Bob is gifted in other modalities (cranial sacral, acupuncture, amma therapy, and a huge dose of Compassion!)  along with Chiropractic.  Michael Crouch, D.C., in Glen Cove, NY, who sees energy and adjusts accordingly.  His gentle approach and huge Spirit make Chiropractic a special experience.  Joshua Siegle, D.C., in Bellmore and Long Beach, NY also works with Network Chiropractic and will spike your day with affirmation and "Go-Gettum-ness!!!"  Joshua suffered with debilitating allergies as a child...until he met a Chiropractor!
