Some republicans seems think that Putin's diplomatic strategy overshadowed president Obama's.They seem to think the RED LINE statement was a failure. I just happen to see it a different way. If the red line controversy had not brought world and local attention to this topic, Russia would not have been involve and people would still be getting gassed.

The fact that there is an international conversation is a perfect ceasefire. We don't know if President Obama was going to use force are not, but we do know that if he did Russia was not going to do a damn thing about it. He would never start a war against a SUPER POWER that is trying to avenge the use of chemical weapons. Therefore he did what would any coward would do? He jumped in and tried to steal the glory. So Putin played on the passions and public opinions of most of the American people to save his face. He full well knows that republican oppose this war because they hate Obama. And for Democrats it is for humanitarian reasons. This is a great manipulative avenue for him and a win win situation all the way around. Republicans don't realize they have been played and don't care as long as they think it hurts Obama. Putin has been CHECKMATED and so has the republicans.
