An In Depth with Kya Stephens" Founder of Community Empowerment Ministries

We are honored on today to have Minister Kya Stephens founder of Community Empowerment Ministries. Their aim is to reach, uplift and motivate the men and women outside of the church walls. Minister Stephen's was born and raised in Norfolk, Va but currently resides in Virginia Beach, Va. Minister Stephen's is a devoted husband to his wife and a loving father of three. While in prison Minister Stephens was ordained as a minister under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Patterson Jr. On his journey Kya witnessed how African American families were being broken by the penal system. Therefore it became his mission, his duty, and his passion to make a strong impact in the community. Minister Kya also has an upcoming project at the early part of next year called Organizing Ourselves United OOU.
