At long last, the day you have all been waiting for with bated breath has arrived -- the Black and Blue Blog fantasy football leagues open for registration this afternoon! On this Sunday Funday, Nate Koenig and Rourke Decker will be breaking down all the details for you.
We will be fielding two leagues -- one DST league for your traditionalists and one IDL league for those of you who like a little variety. Registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis, so if you have questions about anything from when the drafts will be held to how many points you'll score for a defensive fumble recovery, be sure to blow up our lines today. Or if you think our scoring system is absolutely bonkers, we'll be happy to take your input into consideration too.
We'll also be going over some of the more notable items of NFC North news today. Among the issues we will probably get to:
Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Greg Childs' career may be over after he tore tendons in both knees during yesterday's team scrimmage. This represents yet another blow to an organization scrabbling desperately to right a ship that has been listing dangerously for some time.
As Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher continues to miss time with injury, speculation continues to circulate about the ability of the Bears organization to function if and when they lose him for good.
Detroit Lions defensive end Cliff Avril has finally reported to training camp and passed his physical. Is this a sign of good things to come for the Lions? Can Avril be a force of maturity and upright character in a locker room that seems sometimes lacking in self-control?
