If you have been attacked by a fit of the mid-summer insomnia, we have just the cure for you. Co-hosts Nate Koenig and Rourke Decker will escort you to the Land of Nod with their unparalleled brand of soporific sports commentary.

Someone who isn't losing sleep right now is former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, who claims to have no hard feelings against the Green Bay Packers in the wake of their messy breakup. On the other hand, Favre is also honest enough to admit he couldn't resist coming back to play for the Vikings in 2010, because the money was simply too good. As jarring as it might be to hear, one could almost wish that more teams were so forthright about their motivations.

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz might be tossing and turning this evening -- presumably with fury -- after Packers head coach Mike McCarthy came out with a pretty salty evaluation of his coaching style this week. Are we destined to see a redux of the classic Schwartz/Harbaugh beatdown in 2012, or is all just hot air?

Speaking of quarterbacks, 2011 was a year of unprecedented passing output. There has been speculation that reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers might throw for 6,000 yards this year. Is there any sense to these prognostications, or are they simply offseason bloviation from overeager analysts in need of ratings?
