Call in to speak with the host
Your Sunday host Patrick Bates welcomes special guest (and co-host of the upcoming SportsNerd radio show) Andy Froehle to recap the week that was in the NFC North and preview the week to come.
Dissatisfaction seems to be the theme of the day.
They will get into the current simmering situation with Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin, who has recently come out and requested a trade. Does Harvin’s dissatisfaction have the potential to derail the Vikings’ 2012 season before it even gets started?
Over on the other side of the “Black and Blue” Division, Chicago Bears running back Matt Forté has been making equally ominous rumblings. He is threatening to hold out if he is not signed to a long-term deal, although it is not clear how much this will sway negotiations with the Bears, given that if there is no deal in place by July, he will be forced to play under the terms of his franchise tender.
Even the NFL Players Association seems to be disgruntled, as they continue to express displeasure with how Commissioner Roger Goodell has conducted his investigation. Will their complaints sway the Goodell from his path, or will it be business as usual at league headquarters?
It's good to talk.
