Call in to speak with the host
Last week, we talked about Capitalism and how crucial a large pool of unemployed workers is to keeping wages low and workers willing to shut up and suffer. If you didn't get a chance to listen to it live, you might want to listen to it now so you're up to speed and ready to take in Part 2 next Sunday. Millions of workers are unemployed and more everyday. Millions of workers are working in part-time, temporary, low paid jobs without benefits -- unable to meet the basic necessities of their lives. Millions of workers are working so hard, they can't begin to think about what's REALLY wrong with this picture. And millions of workers are blaming themselves for their situation (whatever their situation is). Under these circumstances, it's hard to feel hopeful enough to get out there and "make something happen." In this episode, we'll talk about how to turn desperation into action.
