Kiley Russell, CEO of Big Girl Cosmetics

About five years ago, Kiley Russell went to a live taping of the Oprah Winfrey show, in which the media mogul gave everyone a new set of wheels. For the three days, Russell drove around town in her brand new, black-on-black with leather interior, Pontiac G6. But to be honest, Russell, now 32, finished paying the note on her old car and didn’t needthe new one. So the former junior high school assistant principal sold the car and used the money to start her own cosmetic line, Big Girl Cosmetics. Now, not only does she have a cosmetic line, but the mother of two, has a foundation called Project Think Big, in which she educates people on financial literacy. She’s also working on her doctorate degree. Big Girl Cosmetics was just picked up by Macy's and will be in stores Spring 2011 and the new retail boutique will also be opening this year in Chicago.
