Alam is a DNC Member of National Democratic Ethnic coordinating Council (NDECC). Alam is the founder of Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus (MDPAAC) (http://www.mdpaac.org). Alam ran for Missouri Secretary of State and was able to get 13.1% of Party votes which was about 40K Votes. Alam served in the United States Army and is a Veteran of Iraq War.

Alam beleives Political Engagement is very important to raise a successful generation. Political Schema and understanding the process is critical while a generation is under political ignorance.
