  Documentary film directors Justin Blair and Matthew Vincent will be joining us tonight to discuss the creation of their independent film Across the Forest: Tales from Transylvania. The film is a documentary on the Romanian strigoi, ghosts, and forest spirits. Justin and Matthew are American film makers that traveled to Romania to create their latest production to interview the local people and to collect and compile the legends and lore of the people related to vampires and supernatural happenings. Matthew Vincent and Justin Blair traveled to the west of the Carpathian Mountains in Romania to find out about Romanian supernatural beliefs. While the team was aware of the eerie reputation of Transylvania attributed to Bram Stoker and Dracula, they found the lore of the region much more exciting. The film makers documented stories about the strigoi, a creature with similar characteristics to the vampire, but also having characteristics similar to ghosts. The film examines countless strigoi reports, reports of strange abductions, reports on pricolici (a weredog), and more. After returning from Transylvania where the film was shot, the team faced more than forty hours of footage that required translation.

  Robert Bauval was born in Alexandria Egypt and later traveled to England to pursue his education in Building Construction and Management at the University of the South Bank in London. In 1989, Bauval published a study which argued that the layout of the three Giza Pyramids and their relative position to the Nile was intended to replicate the layout of the three stars in Orion’s belt and their relative position to the Milky Way. The thesis is known as the Orion Correlation Theory and is the subject of Bauval’s first book: The Orion Mystery, which has been translated into more than twenty languages and has been highlighted on the BBC, ABC, the Discovery Channel, and others. Bauval later co-authored the Message of the Sphinx with Graham Hancock, and he then followed the latter publication with Secret Chamber, Tailsman (also with Graham Hancock), and The Egypt Code. Bauval is presently working on a new book entitled Sirius Rising, which will trace the influence of the Egyptian Star-Goddess Sopdet (Sirius) from prehistoric times to the early Christian Era and which will focus on Her role in the rebirth cult and temple rituals and alignments. Bauval resides in Spain and once resided near the Giza pyramids with his wife Michelle while working on The Egypt Code. Tonight, Robert Bauval will be joining us to discuss The Egypt Code: a book which examines the ground/sky correlation of Egyptian landmarks and examines the possibility of a grand plan spanning 3,000 years of pharaonic civilization involving pyramids and major temple sites along the Nile.

  Biography of Scott A. Johnson

  Scott A. Johnson is a native of Texas: a state filled with ghost stories, legends, and folklore.  The latter tales had a great influence on Scott during his childhood.  Scot enjoyed watching Chiller Theater as a child along with his brother, and he came to appreciate the work of Borris Karloff, Vincent Price, and Bela Lugosi.  During his educational career in junior high school, Scott fell in love with the art of writing when he read The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe.  He began his fiction writing career during his attendance at college at Texas State University-San Marcos, formerly known as the Southwest Texas State University.  He graduated from the university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Advertising, and he later took on a full time position working as a Media Technician for the English Department at the same university.  During his employment at the college he met with a number of fantastic authors including authors from the faculty and visiting authors.

  Scott has since published short stories in a variety of magazines including “The Corpse Magazine,” “Alien Skin Magazine,” and “All Hallows.”  He also presently writes a column called Cold Spots for Dread Central and he has authored numerous novels and nonfiction books.  Scott resides in San Marcos with his wife Tabitha, and his two daughters Zoe and Anna.  He currently teaches the Masters of Arts in Writing Popular Fiction program at Seton Hill University.

  City of Demons: (ISBN 978-1448610853) This work is a 146 page book published by the Library of horror; City of Demons is a horror noir novel published in 2009.  During daylight, the city is normal and the inhabitants of the city rush through their mundane lives.  When the cloak of night settles in, bizarre events begin to occur; a series of brutal murders instill a wave of panic in the city, and the murders call out to a detective who has been psychologically scarred from his last encounter with a killer.  The detective is unstable, and possesses the strange ability to experience the last few moments of the murder victims’ lives.  Paired with a new partner, the detective dives deeply into a bizarre, otherwise unnoticed, and ignored realm to uncover the horrific truth behind the grisly murders plaguing the city.  This book is also available as a downloadable eBook for Amazon Kindle.

  The Mayor's Guide to the Stately Ghosts of Augusta (ISBN 978-1891799280):  A 180 page text published by Harbor House in 2005, this book serves as the official ghostly guide to the hauntings in Augusta, Georgia.  Augusta is the second largest and oldest city in the state of Georgia and it is also a city associated with various lore, legends, and stories about supernatural accounts dating as far back as the Colonial period.

  An American Haunting: (ISBN 978-1891799112) This 300 page book published by Harbor House in 2004 is Scott’s debut novel: a truth-based story that explores the very nature of evil.  The story centers on Gabriel Rosework, a man who seeks to make a financially stable life for his family.  After borrowing funds from his mother and father to purchase a small house in the historic district of San Marcos, Gabriel slowly begins to realize that he has bought into far more than he bargained for.  Struggling to prove his worth to his own father and to protect the people he loves, Gabriel is drawn away from his skepticism and pulled into the very heart of evil.

  Cane River: A Ghost Story (ISBN 978-1891799662) This 208 page novel was published by Batwing Press in 2008.  Mystery is plentiful in Cane River, Texas, as a little girl that disappeared years ago begins appearing in the vines around town.  Eugene Wheeler is the only town inhabitant that might have some explanation for the strange sightings, and his son Bill Wheeler returns to the town shortly after his wife and unborn child die.  Bill, seeking to reunite and connect with his seemingly crazy father also seeks to leave his emotional pain behind him.  Nevertheless, bizarre events seemingly follow him: strange, unexplainable breezes occur in his apartment, disembodied voices call from empty rooms, and a young girl wants more from him than he can fully understand.  Eugene Wheeler has the answers.  Bill meets up with Sandy Duprie, but before romance has a chance to bloom, the young girl that is following him takes something very precious from the both which leads the on a terrifying journey into the very heart of the Texas swamp that is Cane River.

  ISIS Paranormal Radio & Stanton Friedman

  Stanton Friedman is a nuclear physicist that began an extensive investigation into the 1947 Roswell crash in 1978. Friedman is the coauthor of Crash at Corona: The Definitive Study of the Roswell Incident, the coauthor of Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience and the author of TOP SECRET/MAJIC: Operation Majestic-12 and the United States Government's UFO Cover-Up, and Flying Saucers and Science released in 2008. Friedman earned his degrees in physics at the University of Chicago in 1955 and 1956. He later worked as a nuclear physicist for GE, GM, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, McDonnell-Douglas, and Westinghouse. Since 1967, he has lectured on the subject of UFOs at more than 600 different colleges and more than 100 professional groups in 50 states, 9 provinces, and 16 other countries. Friedman has published over 800 papers on the subject of UFOs and has had appearances on numerous TV and radio programs. He is a civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident, and in 2002, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Leeds, England presented by UFO Magazine. Stanton has presented testimony to Congressional Hearings, has appeared at the UN, has spoken at the yearly Symposia of the Mutual UFO network, and is considered a pioneer in the field of ufology.

  ISIS Paranormal Radio with Stanton Friedman

  On Sunday at 6 pm Eastern Time on ISIS Paranormal Radio, we are pleased to announce that Stanton Friedman will be joining us on the show to discuss his newest book release.  Stanton has authored and coauthored numerous books on UFOs, including titles like Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience which is the true account of a well-known and documented case of alien abduction.  The latter book was co-authored by Kathleen Marden is published by Career Press/New Page books; the book also contains a foreward written by Dr. Bruce Maccabee.

  Stanton Friedman has also co-authored CRASH AT CORONA: The Definitive Story of the Roswell Incident.  His co-author of the text is Don Berliner.  This text examines the cover-up by the government of the famed Roswell incident.  The latest edition of this text was released in May of 2004 and contains a brand new fiftieth anniversary chapter.
