Beth Cooper, also known as Beth Meyer, is a native of Kansas who was raised in North Topeka: home of the spectacular ghost dubbed the Albino Lady. She attended the University of Oklahoma and later obtained a degree in Liberal Arts at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock where her focus was on language, journalism, and history. She returned to Topeka in 1990 where she worked in online, broadcast, and print media. Several years later, it was during a radio show in Holton featuring the Kansas Ghost Hunters Society that she realized an interest in the paranormal. Beth is well-traveled and when visiting other cities she frequently takes historical and haunted tours; she later made the suggestion to her sister, Cathy Ramirez, that they offer tours in the state of Kansas. Beth enjoys sharing paranormal stories and researching haunted locations while Cathy conducts actual ghost investigations. Beth presently resides in Topeka with her life partner Jim Meyer with their two daughters, Devin and Piper. Tonight she joins us to discuss her book: Ghosts of Kansas published by Schiffer Publishing.
