Meredith Vieira juggles two popular television shows, 3 kids, contractors -- and a husband who has MS -- all with grace and aplomb. Meredith, who for years famously shared a couch on the hit talk show The View  says, "Everybody has something that is a challenge in life and this is our something". 

Multiple Sclerosis, the progressive disease that occurs when the body's immune system attacks nerves in the brain and spinal cord, affects between 250,000 and 350,000 Americans, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorder and Stroke.

Meredith's husband of 20 years, Emmy Award winnning journalist, Richard Cohen, was diagnosed with MS at 25 before the couple met.  Knowing what they were signed up for the couple continues to live with this life-changing illness and have developed many healthful strategies for dealing with it.

In today's episode Bobbie talks about living with MS and gives families helpful skills and information that can help make day to day life with MS a better experience. For as Meredith has said, "Any illness is a family illness. Remember that you, your spouse and your family can still live life without wallowing in the negative".
