Innovation keeps companies alive through continuous renewal and growth. But innovation requires an ability to create and a willingness to take risk. To be anything less than innovative is simply handing over the keys to your competitors. Innovation is a must, not an option. The capacity to innovate ultimately is a function of the ability to be creative and a willingness to take risks. By assessing creativity and risk-taking, an organization can determine its collective innovative capacity, the capability of producing innovative ideas, services, and products. The Creatrix™ tool was developed for exactly this reason: to assess the innovative capacity of an organization and individuals in it. My guest for this week’s show is Jacqueline Byrd, the brain behind CREATRIX. She also is President and Senior Consultant with Creatrix, the organization that helps build the innovative talent of a company/organization. She has owned and operated the company for over thirteen years. Jacqueline is also the co-author of The Innovation Equation and Building Tomorrow’s Companies Through Innovative Leadership.
