The year? 1988. The album? "Karyn White." The song? Make a list! Let's see. There was "Secret Rendezvous", "Love Saw It", "The Way You Love Me" and.....wait for it.........the magnum opus entitled "Superwoman", a song that would be etched as an anthem to any woman dealing with any ungrateful man. That is when and where rhythm & blues legend Karyn White got her start. From there, the hits kept coming: "Romantic" and "Cay I Stay With You" were in heavy rotation during the 1990s. But that was yesteryear. Fast forward to today, December 7, 2012. It's funny Karyn visits "Intro to Info" on the 7th day, for 7 is biblically the number of perfection. While nothing on earth is quite perfect, after a painful divorce, losing both parents, rearing a daughter and watching her go to college, walking away from the entertainment industry for umpteen years to pursue endeavors of interior decorating and real estate, we would say Karyn White has come full circle. As she lamented in her "Life After" episode, she feels "whole."
Her 4th studio album is entitled "Carpe Diem", which is Latin for seize the day. Though this record has a relaxed/quiet storm tone, it is certainly a positive and happy album. Pick up "Carpe Diem!" And listen to what happens when "Miss White", as she affectionately calls herself on the album, visits "Intro to Info."
