The event marketing industry is very fast-paced and organizing events on behalf of major brands involves the managing of many activities in very short timeframes. At events where information is collected on behalf of these brands there are various considerations with respect to privacy and security that should be taken. On Friday’s show Michael Gaffney, joined by In-Touch CTO Michael Kahn, will be interviewing security expert Hugh Ellis. They will be talking about these various considerations and what steps agencies of record need to take to protect the brands that they represent. Hugh Ellis was Director of Security Solutions for Bell Enterprise (Canada’s largest telecommunications company). Prior to Bell he was CEO of Cinnabar, one of Canada’s largest privately-owned information security companies. He held that position until 2004 when Bell bought Cinnabar. Prior to Cinnabar Hugh held positions with the CSE (Canada’s equivalent to the NSA), and the Canadian Military. Hugh is also a retired Canadian Army officer.
