Last week Michigan became the 24th state in the country to pass Right to Work legislation.  The laws were hurried and pushed through state government despite protests from some lawmakers and Michigan’s sizable union population.  In this episode we explain the battle and its significance, and its potential effects on union activity.

We also reflect on the horrific incident that occurred in Newtown, CT last week.  Yet another in a long line of senseless acts of violence took place at an elementary school in Newtown, CT last week.  We offer some commentary on the event and what aspects of these violent incidents the President and Congress should focus on going forward.
