Orignally from Benton Harbor, Michigan, Victor Johnson, Sr. is a graduate of John Wesley College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science.
 
A self-proclaimed poet, Victor has been writing poetry for 30 years and has 3 published poetry books: Thoughts from the Mind, Birdman 13 Point 1 and Thoughts of Life.
 
A fourth poetry book, The World of Poetry According to . . . Him, is scheduled for release October 15, 2013, along with 3 chap books (Emotional and Love Poems).
 
Victor has had his work published in Forward Times newspaper, Storm Magazine, Harbinger Asylum and several newsletters. His works have earned several Editor Choice Awards and an International Award . 
 
Victor hosts the Spoken Word Poetry Contest at the National Black Book Festival held in Houston, Texas annually.
