As part of this, I also try to advance political means to both express and advance these visions and causes and to empower people to actually (and actively) participate in shaping their own destiny, and that of their family, and community.

Attempting to be coherent with these goals, I have helped to establish and grow the Green Party in Florida in order to set a precedent for vision and action that remains true to basic principles and that is not coerced, co-opted, nor corrupted by corporate cash, callousness and power.

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of supporting people who give me:

BAILOUTS paid for by you and me, and REWARDING(!) those who pulled of this colossal heist of our US Treasury!


IGNORING over 60% of the American People who want a fair and affordable Single Payer Health Care Plan, to bargain with billionaire crooks & liars who run the private health "insurance" companies that do everything to inflate prices and deny you services.


DESTRUCTION of our Constitution and its guarantees of Rights!


ALLOWING WAR CRIMINALS and Abusers of Power in and all around the Bush-Cheney-neoCon Crime Mob to literally GET AWAY WITH MURDER without so much as investigating them, sweeping massive crimes and thefts under the American rug!


ENDLESS War spending and War-mongering — increasingly privatized (!) — for ill-hidden greed for resource control and profiteering!


THE PHONY "WAR on DRUGS" that still protects major players, yet incarcerates (and does not treat) the millions of victims, disproportionately locking up users of color in the world's largest — and increasingly privatized (!?) — prison population. Land of the Free?


LOCKING UP "enemy combatants" - for life, if ' they deem it necessary' without trials or even if tried and absolved! Who is next? You? Me, if we should disagree publicly with the Administration in power?

I'd much rather put my energy, visions, and skills to BUILD something new. Something fair and healthy and sustainable, and work side by side with others who feel and want the same.

If you are a true progressive who really wants to move this nation and world towards a saner healthier path, I invite you to help build a new party that speaks those words and ideas in our hearts and minds with its voice.

I'm sick of asking, begging, telling those in charge of the major political parties to listen to us and to do the right things about health, poverty, race and war.

Isn't it time for us to to have a party that actually STANDS for those things? On that with every message paints that vision? One that openly challenges the corporately-controlled (and funded) parties -- both Republican and Democratic -- so that America has some choices?

America won't ever even hear those ideas, if there is no party to speak them -- out loud.

I say: Let's stop taking steps in the wrong direction, hoping, vainly, for it somehow to get better.

A future that WE want will only come about if we work at building it today. The Green Party is growing and is working at that. Is it perfect? No, but what is? And it's a thousand times better than what our traditional politics has become. More people joining will make it more effective. Your voice still counts in the Green Party. So, I've made it my party. It can be your party, too!
