Enjoy your show very much. The only one that I didn't care for was the Preston WHitmore. It seems like he didn't shed much light on the business. Everything went back to him, without really explaining himself. But overall, I love the show.

    Before joining Sci Fi Channel, Lattaker-Johnson worked in the world of TV, film, music video, and commercial production.  She began as a producer/director's assistant on such films as "Spring" for Rusty Cundieff and Darin Scott, and rose through the ranks from production assistant to associate producer.  Lattaker-Johnson was responsible for all aspects of production including the day-to-day operations of the set, the financial/budget management, and oversaw bringing the creative concepts to life. Some of her film credits include "No Turning Back," "Very Mean Men," "Duty Dating," "Tequila Body Shots," and "My Brother Jack."

    For the past eight years, E. Brian Dobbins has been a Talent and Literary Manager at Principato-Young Entertainment.  A native of Long Beach, California, Dobbins graduated from UCLA with a degree in English.  He began his career in the entertainment industry working at United Talent Agency (UTA) in the agent training program.
     
    Dobbins left UTA to work in development at HBO Pictures.  While there, he decided to pursue a career in talent and literary management.  Dobbins left HBO and joined Interact Management where he utilized his abilities at working with writers to build a client list consisting of young and exciting writers and directors.  Eighteen months later, Dobbins added actors his to his list of clients and moved to Polestar Management.  A year-and-a-half later, he joined Principato-Young Entertainment, where he works with actors, writers and directors including Anthony Anderson, DJ Qualls, Henry Simmons, Hill Harper and writer Norman Vance Jr.
     
    At Principato-Young, Dobbins has expanded his management career to include producing.  He is one of the Executive Producers of Fox’s TV series "Do Not Disturb" as well as Mandate Pictures' feature film "The Way Back," which is currently in development.  Dobbins producing credits also included the Oxygen cable network series "Campus Ladies" and ABC and 20th Century Fox's TV pilot "Adopted."

    Los Angeles based film producer Effie T. Brown will appear on "Inside Urban Hollywood" with host Tanya Kersey on Monday, October 6, 2008, at 6pm PST/9pm EST, to discuss the business of producing feature films. Brown has produced critically acclaimed, award-winning feature projects, including "Stranger Inside;" "Real Women Have Curves" (winner of Sundance Film Festival’s Audience Award and Special Jury Prize for Ensemble Performance); "Everyday People" and "In the Cut." Effie’s latest film "Rocket Science" won the Sundance 2007 Grand Jury Prize for Directing and was nominated for Best First Feature, Best Screenplay and Best Actress by the Independent Spirit Awards. She has several films slated for production this year, including "Bury Me Standing" with Kerry Washington, Alfre Woodard, Mos Def and Katt Williams and "Bobby Zero" with Mos Def and Erykah Badu set to star. Brown received the Motorola Producer Award at the 2003 Independent Spirit Awards, and the 2003 Distinguished Young Alumni Award from Loyola Marymount University, her alma mater and now serves on the board of the FIND / Film Independent.

    Veteran film consultant Peter Broderick will appear on "Inside Urban Hollywood" with host Tanya Kersey on Monday, October 13, 2008, at 6pm PST/9pm EST, to discuss state-of-the-art distribution techniques—including innovative theatrical service deals, hybrid video strategies (mixing retail and direct sales online), and new approaches to global distribution. Broderick is President of Paradigm Consulting, which helps filmmakers and media companies develop strategies to maximize distribution, audience, and revenues.

    Broderick was President of Next Wave Films, which supplied finishing funds and other vital support to filmmakers from the US and abroad. He helped launch the careers of such exceptionally talented directors as Christopher Nolan, Joe Carnahan, and Amir Bar-Lev. In January 1999, Broderick established Next Wave Films’ Agenda 2000, the world’s first entity devoted to financing digital features.

    A key player in the growth of the ultra-low budget feature movement, Broderick became one of the most influential advocates of digital moviemaking. He has given presentations on digital production at festivals worldwide and written articles for Scientific American, The New York Times, and The Economist. In 2004 Broderick launched Films to See Before You Vote, harnessing the power of film to impact the US presidential election. He is a graduate of Brown University, Cambridge University, and Yale Law School.

    Now focused on the revolution in film distribution, Broderick gives keynotes and presentations internationally, most recently at Cannes, Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Brisbane, New York, and Los Angeles. He served as Program Co-Director of Digimart, the global digital distribution summits held in Montreal in 2005 and 2006. His seminal article, “Maximizing Distribution,” has been reprinted in publications around the world.
