Tri Destined Studios executives N.D. Brown (CEO & Chairperson) and Trey Haley (President & Partner) will appear on "Inside Urban Hollywood" with host Tanya Kersey on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 6pm PST/9pm EST, to discuss the business of building a successful indie black film company.Tri Destined Studios is an indie film company comprised of Tri Destined Films, Tri Destined Television, Tri Destined Independent and V.I.P. Recently, Tri Destined Films' "Drill Team" was picked up by Universal Studios/Rouge Pictures. This film will begin production fall 2008 and will be produced with Offspring Entertainment ("Step Up," "Step Up 2"). Tri Destined Films has also optioned the rights to the Life Story of Bev Kearney, the world-renowned track coach from the University of Texas who took her team on a miraculous quest for success, coaching them to the Collegiate and U.S. National (Pre-Olympic) championships, all from her hospital bed, after a horrendous accident almost caused her demise. Blumhouse Productions and New Wave Entertainment have come on as producing partners on this project. In 2007 Tri Destined Films produced "American Dream," starring famed Houston Rapper, Mike Jones distributed by Warner Bros/ Asylum Records. Tri Destined Independent recently completed the indie film "Why Am I Doing This?."N.D. oversees all business and legal affairs, corporate structure and strategic planning, and green-lights projects for Tri Destined Studios. She has produced over 30-multi media projects including "The Call." Trey is responsible for overseeing the implementation all of Tri Destined Studios productions and events, including their production service division Tri Destined VIP. Haley's responsibilities also include creating diverse venture partnerships. Haley recently co-directed the upcoming feature film "American Dream." He also is the director of the Inner City Destiny Awards, "The Comedy Kids", “Sweet Oranges” and “Room For Seven”. The next project he's set to direct is currently entitled "Test of Faith." His career began in Denton, TX where he served as cable programmer while attending the University Of North Texas where he majored in Radio, Television and Film. He later moved to Los Angeles and mentored behind some of the hottest music video directors in the business and worked with some of the top production companies in the industry from Revelations Entertainment (Morgan Freeman’s Company) to A Band Apart (Quentin Tarantino’s Company). As the President and Co-Owner of Tri Destined Films with Brown and Haley, Gregory Anderson spearheads several projects in development including "Foolishy In Love," considered a hip-hop “What’s Love Got to Do With It”, the story is a biopic about the dangerous love affair between football legend Andre Rison and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez of the hit female group TLC. Anderson is the scribe behind indie hit, "Stomp the Yard." While studying at Harvard University during the summers, Gregory independently produced and theatrically distributed a film with his Florida A&M University classmates Rob Hardy and Will Packer called "Trois." Soon after that release, he wrote, co-Produced, and distributed "Pandora’s Box" and distributed the Master P film "Lockdown". He also produced the Sony Pictures Entertainment release "Motives" starring Vivica A. Fox, and wrote and produced Columbia Tristar's "Trois: The Escort."
