Two well educated, professional sisters with similar circumstances of violence in their personal lives, Kim and Kristin Anklin, both employed in professions that assist victims of crime, share a common experience and will share with listeners the beginning, the middle and the end result.
Society believes that violence usually occurs in certain segments of the population, that highly educated people somehow should know better how to avoid precarious situations and shouldn't be considered victims. This attitude is far from the reality. Violence knows no boundaries, no socio-economic lines are drawn, and it can creep into anyone's life at any time.
Kim Anklin is the Vice President of Management Resources of New York and the Senior Investigative Analyst.
Kristin Anklin is a former police officer who became disabled from an on the job injury.
