Laurie’s main clients are women between the ages of 40 and 50 in emotional pain and tormented by the drama of their lives. They don’t need antidepressants or therapy, only to give themselves permission to uncover their authentic gifts and talents and know they were never meant to fit in, but rather to align with their highest potential. Laurie’s original pursuit was Behavioral Sciences for drug and alcohol counseling. While going to college she did internships in drug and alcohol rehabs, shelters for homeless and abused women and taught Decision making skills to women inmates in Bucks County Correctional Facility. After being involved in the teachings of the 12 step programs, Laurie came to learn that only about 5 percent of the people are helped by working the program, most don't stick with it. Laurie decided to pursue a metaphysical and holistic viewpoint, which teaches one to challenge their program of thought that they were taught during the formation of their belief system. Nothing in your life will change if you don't challenge what you believe to be true. Beliefs are just habits of thought practiced over and over until they become second nature. It's the same as reciting the alphabet or times tables until they become habit. Laurie believes our "first nature" becomes covered over by what we are taught to believe, and the rules that make us acceptable and able to fit in rob us of our authenticity. We are taught to follow the leader, not how to be one.Laurie does intuitive counseling with or without cards and is open to do a couple short readings if asked. Laurie has a holistic philosophy about what healing is, she believes everything starts in the mind and has a physical counterpart. We literally are what we think.
