Full Body Awareness is an exercise that helps you develop the awareness of the energy in your body, hence the title. It’s an important exercise and if you practice it you’ll find that you can actually move your energy around inside your body at will. Depending on your energy sensitivity it may take awhile for you to feel the energy moving, but rest assured that if you are doing the exercise your energy is moving even if you can’t feel it. Before we get into the exercise I want to stress a couple of points about meditation and energy work. In my next show I’ll get into some deeper detail about these concepts but for right now just remember the following 3 things: 1. Energy Follows thought. It’ll go wherever you send and it’ll cross any amount of space or time to do so. That means that if you’re like most people you send a lot of your energy into your past or into your future, leaving very little energy available to deal with this moment, which is the only moment that actually exists. 2. Energy flows like water. It follows the path of least resistance and it can be blocked very easily by thought, emotions and other energy blocks. Pretty much any form of dis-ease is based around some type of blocked energy in your body. We’ll look at more specific ways to clear those blocks as we go along. 3. Energy doesn’t flow through tight muscles. That’s why you see so much focus on relaxation and stretching. We’ll get much deeper into those concepts and some others in the next show which focuses on The Human Energy System, but for now just keep those things in mind as you go through your day.
