Michelle Mathis is co-founder of Olive Branch Ministries, a multi-cultural ministry that educates, advocates for and reaches out to marginalized peoples in North Carolina. She is an ordained minister and the Health and Wellness minister of her local congregation, ExodusMissionaryOutreachChurch. She also volunteers at the local state prison and serves on the Prison Ministry board. Michelle serves on the Board of Directors of ALFA, an HIV/AIDS service organization and also volunteers as an HIV tester and Community Health Educator. She is a proud member of the local NAACP branch where she serves as branch secretary, Health Chair and Civic Engagement Coordinator. Michelle and her wife, Karen Lowe, are dedicated to serving the community through outreach. Olive Branch Ministries is an outpouring of their love of people and the calling God has placed on their lives to serve those in need.
