Anthony O’Neal, a Columbia, SC born, 24 year old, is the founder and President of Young People Succeeding, Inc. (YPS) After, finding himself entangled in almost $15,000 worth of bad debt at the tender age of 18, Anthony knew that is steps were ordered and he is determine to fulfill his purpose. Although he was very active in school, his community and his church, O’Neal was stubborn growing up. He was expelled from school twice: once in middle school and once as a freshman in high school. In 2002, O’Neal began to change his ways and focus on getting rid of his debt. It was then that he decided to create an organization to prevent debt from occurring to other youth. O’Neal also noticed the lack of positive outlets for youth and young people. He got tired of going out to the club and having to watch his back. He was no longer content with seeing youth and young people disrespect themselves with the way they dressed and lived. His frustration fueled into a passion to start an organization that would not only help with debt prevention but also enrich young people.
