Born into a family of ministers, singers and performers, the artist known as REDD has been wowing audiences over the last 18 years with her beautiful voice and songs of inspiration. Her slight build personifies her blessing. Her blessing creates memories that last beyond the sound of her voice. Growing up as the middle child of the family, Ms. Crawford absorbed almost everything that she touched. Getting her start by singing in her cousin’s choir (David Dove and Eternal Life), her background is rich with stories that connect the spiritual and secular world, as growing up in New York City provided the creativity that she now uses as her landscape. Her church, Grace Memorial Community Outreach, has long witnessed REDD’s talent. Under the guiding hands of her father, Pastor Arnett Crawford, and another extraordinary singer, her mother – Sharon Crawford, Latice could be found singing Praise and Worship on Sunday mornings.
