During this episode Classic interviews indie artist Roger Holzheimer of Colorado. Additional info from Roger himself: In 1957 I wanted to BE Elvis Presley, not like him, but BE him. This is when other kids wanted to be firemen, policemen, cowboys, etc. I got my first guitar then, a big old Kay that a kid couldn't even get his fingers around. I asked my dad if I could make a record. he told me that when I could afford to make one then I could. Well, 50 years later I woke up one morning and realized I could afford it, so I did. Songs seem to have taken off in Europe, lately particularly in The Netherlands. Stations are listed on my news or link page. Peter Holmstedt of Hemifran has been doing a great job on European media. I have been with him about a month now. www.hemifran.com You can see the number of artists he represents either wholly of their European publicity (Jackson Browne, Richie Furay, Delaney Bramlet, etc). All the Scandinavian countries as well as Belgium, Germany, Luxembourgh are starting to pop. Radio NEO, one of Paris' biggest stations, picked up and played '57 Chevy. So, the songs are getting played on European American, Indie, and Country formats
