“Thank God I Was Adopted ‘Cause DNA is No Joke!” is an inspiring memoir for adopted children, foster children and anyone searching for their parents, siblings and biological connections.

Hampton, Virginia – Thank God I Was Adopted ‘Cause DNA is No Joke!” by Comedienne Pekitta Tynes of Hampton, Virginia is an intimate and uplifting look at one woman’s bittersweet search for her truth.

“Abandoned as a toddler and left without a birth certificate, my identity was UNKNOWN. I lived in foster care until I was adopted at nine-years-old,” Pekitta says. “Armed with faith, determination and a strong belief in a much higher power than myself, I embarked on a journey to the truth. After 35 years of searching, DNA led me to find my biological father, mother and a host of siblings. I had a few ups and downs along the way. But a lot of surprises gave me a newfound appreciation for my life as an adoptee.”

And while her story is her own, the need to know who you come from, is universal.
