Darius "Starr K" Price was born January 9th 1986 in Dallas Tx. At the early age of 10 he was heavily inspired to write music from listening to greats such as Notorious B.I.G, 2 Pac, Nas, UGK, Jay Z, Scarface and more. He would walk around the house and at school rapping  every chance he had. His name Starr was given to him by his grandmother who said she knew he would be a star the day he was born and the "K" is derived from the first letter of his middle name.

In 2004, although musc was always his passion and venting outlet, he also pursued to further his education and make a hoop dream come true by attending college. It was after he suffered a knee injury in 2006 that he  decided to take his music career seriously. He spent alot of time in the studio perfecting his craft. He started performing in Showcases within Dallas to create a name for his self.

After years of putting out 3 mixtapes and performing in showcases in Dallas, it wasn't until he released his 4th tape "Pre Game Ritual" that really sparked  a heavy interest in his music. Starr felt extremely confident releasing this project because he said he has finally found his sound. And from then his sound has been catching the ears of music lovers around the globe.

2014 Starr released his latest mixtape "G.K.D.F" (Good Kings Die First) which was released on Datpiff, HotNewHipHop.com and featured on a few blog sites and landed him an interview on Dallas radio Station 97.9 the Beat during J Kruz segment "Raising The Bar". His buzz has increased not just in Dallas but all over Texas, Cali and more. Starr K is currently managed by westcoast powerhouse Jazzy Management and Dallas based Citizens King. The coming years look promising for Starr K and his imprint Black MRKT Movement.
