We continue to look at the Corinthians as they strive to gain godly success while straying to the dark path. This is an oxymoron if you ever heard one. You cannot live the kingdom life from the darkness. That is, you cannot live a life of light while covenanting with darkness. Darkness produces character assassination, deceptions, accusations of all sorts, as well as human philosophies that causes one to boast in their own abilities to supply whatsoever is needed, “For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?”1 Cor. 4:7. In contrast, Paul admonishes the believers to adopt and maintain qualities that promote the higher life, such as trustworthiness, faithfulness and humility, and the type of life of consciousness that constantly promote and testify of the reality of their high calling; “You are already filled, you have already become rich, you have become kings without us; and indeed, I wish that you had become kings so that we also might reign with you” 1 Cor. 4: 8.
